What can I do when the PIN is not requested despite activation?

You have provided additional protection to your mail.com Mail App for Android with a specified PIN. The PIN is not requested immediately, but after a certain period.

You don´t know why the PIN isn´t requested immediately, but only after a certain period.

Setting "Lock app after" might be set up as "Only after manual lock"

The PIN request can be changed in the General Settings of mail.com Mail App for Android.

Set up the PIN request

  1. Tap the menu symbol in the menu bar.
    The menu navigation is shown.
  2. Below your email folders, tap Settings.
  3. Tap General settings.
  4. Under "Privacy", tap PIN lock.
    The PIN settings open.
  5. Tap PIN lock.
  6. Enter a 4-digit PIN and confirm it.
    1. Under PIN code, you can change your PIN. Before choosing a new PIN, you must first enter the original PIN for unlocking.
    2. Under Lock app after, you can determine the intervals at which the PIN is queried. Choose between one minute, 5 / 10 / 15 / 30 minutes or set the PIN request to Only after manual lock.

      If you set the PIN request to Manual only the PIN will only be requested after you have locked the app manually by tapping on Lock app in the menu navigation.
