When you share a file or folder, recipients of the sharing link can access the shared content in
Cloud and download it. You can protect the share with a password and limit it to a specific
period of time.
If you share a folder, you can also give other users extended rights if you want
them to be able to add and delete files in the shared folder. Otherwise, recipients of the
sharing link can only view and download the contents of the folder.
-
Select the file or folder you want to share by tapping the file or folder name and not releasing it until
a checkmark appears on the left.
-
Tap the share icon at the bottom right.
A new window appears.
-
To configure sharing settings, tap Manage access. You have the following options:
- Permissions (for folders only): Choose whether other people are allowed to make changes to the folder.
- Viewer: View and download only
- Editor: Add, rename, and remove files
- Password protection: You can protect the share with a password. If you select Editor under
Permissions, a password is mandatory.
- Expiration: Specify how long the sharing link should remain valid.
When you are finished with the settings, tap the back icon at the top left. You can
adjust the sharing settings at any time
afterward.
-
Choose how you want to share the sharing link.
- Send by email: Tap the envelope icon. The sharing link is inserted into a new email.
- Copy to the clipboard: Tap the paperclip icon.
- Share via another app: Tap the share icon and select the desired app.
Tip:
If you want to share a folder but do not want other people to be
allowed to remove files, tap the + icon at the bottom right in your
Cloud and then tap Create a new Moment. Enter a folder name
and tap Create your Moment → Invite your friends.
In the sharing settings (Manage access), the appropriate Contributor option is already selected under Permissions.
