How do I set up application-specific-passwords?

You can create application-specific passwords for using external email programs via POP3/IMAP or integrating your mail.com calendar/address book (using CalDav or CardDav) in an external program.

  1. Log in to your mail.com account via the mail.com website.
  2. Click on the profile icon at the top right.
  3. Click on Security Options.
  4. Click on Manage application-specific passwords.
  5. Click on Create new application-specific password.
  6. Enter a name for your application-specific password and click on Continue.
    Info:

    The application-specfic password will be shown only once. Please write down the password immediately.

Use the application-specfic password for your external program or application instead of your original mail.com password.
