Integration on Windows 7 and Vista

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista, you can connect your mail.com Cloud as a network drive and manage files directly on your computer.

  1. Set up an application-specific password and make a note of it.
  2. In the Windows Start menu, click Computer.
  3. In the menu bar at the top, click Map Network Drive.
  4. Select the appropriate drive letter and enter https://storage-file-us.mail.com/ in the folder field.
  5. Activate the Connect using different credentials check box and click Finish.
  6. Enter your mail.com email address and the application-specific password you created in step 1.

If you retrieve your emails via POP3/IMAP, you will then need a separate application-specific password. Use this instead of your usual password in the email programme or the email app provided by the other provider.
