Turn on PIN protection mode in the mail.com Mail App for iOS

Use the PIN protection mode to protect your data against unauthorized access without logging out. When opening the app, you will be asked to enter your PIN. You can switch off the PIN protection mode at any time.

  1. Tap the menu symbol in the menu bar.
    The menu navigation will appear.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap General settings.
  4. Tap PIN protection mode.
  5. Tap Turn on PIN protection mode.
  6. Activate PIN protection mode.
    1. Choose your new PIN.
    2. Confirm your new PIN.
    A notification window will appear, saying that PIN protection mode is active.
  7. You can change your PIN at any time.

  8. You can specify the time interval after which the PIN is required. Choose between 10/30 seconds, 1/2/3 minutes or set the PIN request On each App switch.
