Cloud.
With the mail.com
Cloud for Mac, you can access your Cloud storage directly on your computer without having to use a
browser. The software synchronizes your Mac with the Cloud.
All changes made in the local directory mail.com Cloud will automatically be synced with the
Cloud. You can open the mail.com
Cloud by clicking on the Cloud
icon in the taskbar.
The files in your can be accessed via the Finder under
Favorites. Here you can add new files, delete files, make files accessible offline and
create share links.
The status of the files and folders in your Cloud is indicated by
the following icons:
Up to Date (green checkmark with white background): The file or the
contents of a directory has been opened and downloaded to your computer and is
therefore currently synced with the server or Cloud
storage. The file takes up disk space on your computer and can always be opened
even when your computer is not connected to the internet. New files in this
directory on the remote server will appear as Online Only (see below) and are
not downloaded automatically. Files copied to a volume are kept cached by
default
Available offline (white checkmark on green background): The file or
directory has been selected to be kept synced with the server or Cloud storage, so it is always saved offline. The file
takes up disk space on your computer and can always be opened even when your
computer is not connected to the internet. New files in this directory on the
remote server will be downloaded automatically.
Online Only (grey cloud): The file can only be opened when your computer
is connected to the internet. The file does not take up any disk space on your
computer. The file will be temprarily downloaded when you open it.
Sync in Progress (white arrows on blue background): The file or directory
is currently syncing with the server or Cloud
storage.
Sync Error (white cross on red background): There was an error uploading
the file after changes were made to it. You do not have permission to save the
file or another problem occurred. Please contact your web hosting service
provider for assistance. To resolve the error, move the file to a local
directory and reload.
Ignored (white prohibition symbol on grey background): The file is only
saved in a local temporary location and never synced to the server or Cloud storage. To regain access to the file, move it to a
different directory (e.g. desktop), delete it from the server and reupload it.
