Activating JavaScript

JavaScript is used for many functions of your mail.com mailbox. You have to make sure that it is activated, otherwise you cannot use your mail.com mailbox.

JavaScript is a technology you can use to create dynamic websites. JavaScript is automatically activated in the default settings of many browsers. JavaScript must be activated in order for you to use your mail.com mailbox.

How to enable JavaScript in Firefox:

By default, JavaScript is enabled in Firefox and requires no additional installation. However, some of the features enabled by JavaScript are not wanted by all users on all websites. For this reason, you may have installed browser extensions (add-ons) that disable JavaScript, such as:
  • NoScript: Allows JavaScript and other content to run only on websites of your choice.
  • Ghostery: Allows you to block scripts from companies you don't trust.
To make full use all interactive features of a website, you should therefore make sure to disable the two browser extensions (add-ons) listed above.
  1. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner of the browser window.
  2. Click Add-ons and themes (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + A).

Under Extensions, you will see the browser extensions (add-ons) you have installed.
  3. If you have activated the "NoScript" and/or "Ghostery" extension, click Disable or Remove to be able to use all interactive functions of a website without restrictions.
